Designed by Staffan Tollgård and Filippo Castellani for Gallotti & Radice, the SENSEI collection bridges Italian, Scandinavian and Japanese design cultures drawing a red thread between rigour, versatility and functionalism.

An honorific term – Sensei – literally translates to ‘one who comes before’: a respectful form of address that acknowledges the mastery of an art form, skill or discipline.

The SENSEI round coffee and side tables share the same language, construction philosophy, and details of the SENSEI. Iconic and contemporary, the new round shape and sizes improve the family’s versatility and functionality, adding a soft touch to the whole collection.

“The proportions of the round SENSEI coffee tables are very satisfying,” says Filippo Castellani. “The design of the base takes inspiration from our original concept for SENSEI but softens it slightly, bringing balance to the circular form.”
