At first glance there were two clients and two briefs for this modern monolith in the Algarve’s countryside. One demanded purity of form to suit the stark cubist architecture; the other called for softness, texture and a richly coloured palette. The resulting design marriage has captured the best of both briefs and delighted the family that calls this holiday house a home away from home.
